Hola y Dios Te Bendiga mucho de Republica Dominicana!! (Hello and "God Bless You" from the Dominican Republic.) My mom informed me that maybe I should update my xanga site. So here I am, updating. BUT, if I don't get at least five comments I am not coming on this site again til I am in the US. Haha, So as most of you probably know, I am in the Dominican Republic. I have been here for almost two months and I love it!! I am working as a missionary with CIFI, a small organization. Mostly I am just getting to know people and telling them about Jesus. We have a lot of stuff going on; visited small towns and did bible studies for children, visiting orphanages, having bible studies in our home, and I have been doing both pantomime and working with children at the church. God is so good. I am so happy here. A lot of things are different like... Sometimes not having water or electricity (for hours at a time.) The language. The food...it is very interesting. The type of money. Traditions. Expectations. Relationships. Church Services. People. But all of the differences make for new experiences every day, learning new things, and most importantly finding ways that God can use me here. Please keep me, and the people of the Dominican Republic in your prayers! Te Quiero Mucho (Lots of Love) Adriana (My spanish name) |
